Who We Are
Consumer Protect International (CPI) is an independent consumer-advocacy nonprofit, built to close the gap between the person who gets ripped off and a system that only acts once enough people are harmed. We don't wait for a pool of victims. We help the individual today.
When a merchant treats you unfairly, you shouldn't have to fight it alone. We independently receive, timestamp, and securely keep a record of your dispute - an independent witness on your side that makes a deceptive merchant think twice.
Our Mission: Help the individual consumer today - for free - and put what we earn back into getting people their day in court.
We're On Your Side
We are not a neutral arbiter - we openly advocate for consumers. What we keep neutral is the record: we attest only to what we actually received and when. We don't decide who's right; we make sure your side is documented, safe, and ready if you need it.
⚠️ We document and advocate - we do not determine guilt, assign liability, or issue rulings. Our records carry no special legal status; whether a record is used in any proceeding is the relevant authority's call.
Nonprofit Structure
CPI is a registered Oregon nonprofit. Our work is funded by donations, grants, and optional memberships - not by fees charged to the people we help. The witnessing is free, and always will be. No profits are distributed to any individual; surplus funds the mission and a consumer litigation assistance fund that helps people with strong cases get to small claims court.
We Are the Pattern
Companies harm people in amounts too small for any one person to fight - that's the strategy. So we tally complaints by company. One report is noise; hundreds of identical ones are a pattern. When that pattern is undeniable, we surface it and route it to the people who can act on it - regulators and class-action attorneys - and to the public.
